Celebration of International Women’s Day
International Women’s Day is celebrated annually on the 8 of March. The theme given by the UN is “Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow”, which aims to recognize women who are working to build a more sustainable future. To commemorate this special day there was a special luncheon hosted at our head office and at our various offices with encouraging speeches from our staff members.

Donations to Church Groups
Pacific Palms Property donated some new and used white and brown goods to some churches in the community. The churches that received the items were the Catholic Church and the Seventh Day Adventist Churches. We trust that what we donated will be put to good use in the various church congregations.

Chinese New Year Celebration
The Chinese New Year fell on the 1st of February and was celebrated at Harbourside. There were specials from the various retail tenants such as Alibi and Asia Aromas in commemoration of the Chinese New Year. The animal of the year is the water tiger as it symbolizes it symbolizes power, courage, confidence, leadership, and strength. The Port Moresby based Chinese Dragon Dancers put on a show for the customers who were at Harbourside during the evening of the Chinese New Year.

Pacific Palms Property welcomes new GM – Russel Sy
Pacific Palms Property is pleased to announce that this year we have Russel Sy joining us as the General Manager effective January 2022.
Russel has a Management Engineering Degree from Ateneo de Manila University and received his MBA from the International Institute for Management Development in Switzerland. He also holds certificates in Property, Asset Portfolio Management from the Centre for Real Estate at Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge.
Prior to joining Pacific Palms Property, Russel was the Vice President – Commercial Properties Group with SM Prime, the largest trading company in the Philippines from 2014 – 2021.
He was the Chief Strategy Officer from 2005 – 2014 with Tecom Investments which is the developer and operator for Special Economic Zones, such as Dubai Internet City, Dubai Science Park, Dubai Design District, Dubai Media City etc.
Russel brings with him a wealth of experience of over 17 years (and counting) in the Real Estate Industry, 7 years in the Telecommunications Industry and 4 years in the Oil & Gas Industry.
