Harbourside South Development is a re-development of the previously dated Coastal Shipping site into a mixed-use development of 88 apartments, 2390sqm commercial and 702sqm retail offerings. Harbourside South Development consists of a five-storey traditional podium with 3½ levels of car parking, ½ level of retail on ground level and 2 levels commercial office area. A podium level above this will cater for a large pool & terrace area, gymnasium and exercise studio, male and female change facilities, spa/steam room, lounge, function/private dining room, movie theatre and a games room. The Harbourside Shade structure was added to the Harbourside pier to create a welcoming environment for patrons of the precinct to sit and enjoy the harbour views. The shade structure was proudly designed and fabricated in PNG with 99% of materials sourced and made in PNG, and outdoor furniture from century-old POINT Furniture designed by award-winning designer, Gabriel Teixido as well as Haiku ceiling fans and an innovative circular misting system.
